Voices of Banks is a non-partisan community group who want politics to be better for the residents of the Banks electorate.

We are ordinary locals who want our representatives to truly represent us, not just the party line. We want policy to be based on evidence and compassion, not ideology and lobby groups. 

We are not a political party.  As a community organisation, we're guided by core values of: kindness and empathy, positivity, integrity and respect. We want to see positive change that serves the common good. 

We welcome everyone that wants politics to be better to engage with us.  Our core function is to listen to the issues that people care about, understand what people think makes for a good political representative and go looking for a values - aligned Community Independent if that's what our community wants.  Voices of Banks does not have a summary "voice" on an issue, rather we use the data from our listening to advocate for the people of the Banks electorate.  We then work respectfully with our elected political representatives for better outcomes for our community.  We are hear also to keep our political representatives accountable to the community they serve. 

Every issue we face can be solved by our positive, constructive and active participation in our democracy. No one is coming to save us and we all have a role to play.

We know that "Voices of" groups have been effective in other communities to getting a better standard of political representation.  People are getting excited about Voices of Banks and with good reason as it represents active and constructive hope for a different and better future.
